(32-38 mph) High wind, moderate gale, near gale

700e A

Avg. flight time 00:05:20

Warm and bright enough enough for naked flying, but just too windy. Called it quits after a few flights.
Managed to stick an empty pack in the heli and had a forced landing after a minute. I'm not sure how I thought it was charged, but it's crazy puffing now. Was down to 2% / 3.1v a cell. Hopefully it'll recover, although I think it's had over 100 decent cycles. No great loss.

I hope you can reanimate the pack!
A while ago I bought a used IISI telemetry system which monitors the amps consumed and I really love it. I can get the maximum out of the lipos, no matter the flight-style and I don't have to worry about over discharging or mixing up full and empty packs. I think there is something similar for the v-control.

I bought a sensor for the VBC at least 6 months ago, but I hate soldering, so I never connected it up. I guess I'll have to now :)

I know what you are talking about. I hate soldering, too! And especially the current sensor for the telemetry was a pita: I bought it used and the big fat wire on the sensor was only a couple cm long!
But I can really say that it was absolutely worth it. I love it! My flight times got considerably longer and I don't have to think about the headspeed or style I am flying to adjust the length of the flight. I just fly unitl it beeps ;-).
