(19-24 mph) Fresh breeze

700e A
7 flights
Avg. flight time 00:05:20

Windy from the other direction. Practised keeping it lower with rolls, piro tictocs, etc.

The dual charger isn't keeping up, making me wait a few minutes between flights so I'm back home to finish the other charger. That should give me 3 high power ports capable of changing the big flight packs at 2C and a 4th port for the Rx battery.

Update: OK, finished the charge case. Had to flip the fans so the air goes in the same direction as the PSU fans, but otherwise an easy job. Charging 2 flight packs at 2C, drawing 46 amps at 24 volts, which is 1,100 watts. Nice!

Got the case from Maplins for £40.
The acrylic deck came from Simply Plastics in the right size with the corners rounded for £16.
10cm 24v PC fans from ebay along with plastic guards.
I drilled the fan holes out with a holesaw, bolted them in and soldered some connectors.
I bought a voltage indicator and USB charging point as well, but I'm happy with it as is for now. Cost a lot less than a professional one, lets hope it does the job 😃

Like it Rich, I can see me doing something similar. Where did you get the case, is it one of the Maplins ones

Yeah, the Maplins one. Sometimes they have shop soiled ones for £36 on their website.

The acrylic I ordered was the following:
Coloured Frosted Cast Acrylic Sheet
Thickness: 5mm, Length: 481mm, Width: 354mm, Colour: Mandarin Orange S2 3T17,
Radius: 15mm, Polished: No, Holes: None

It fit almost perfectly, I just had to run a dremel around the bottom edge to make it drop in. I'd maybe make it 1mm smaller in width and breadth if I did it again.
