Well, a while since I've done one of these. Got the V Bar governor sorted and mastered the different take off method and for some reason it's brought the heli to life, so much so I'm going to have to tame it down. I still think theres a little fiddling to do but it was great to be flying again. Nice afternoon with Andy and a couple of others.

Nice day and a great club day. Three flights as my Jonah was there but didn't land with gusto today so his effect must be wearing off :-)

Rebuilt after last weeks issue and flying quite well. Look to get the 550 ready this week at some stage, looking forward to flying it

Rubbish day, got to the field and couldn't be bothered. One flight and didn't enjoy it, tail still messing about

Some great flights today although the tail is still buggering about. Strange stepping around that I don't seem to be able to get rid of. Appears to be when knifedge although not 100% sure.

Ran out of fuel on the first flight, really cold and didn't feel thumbs or vibration on Tx. Made changes so that timer starts on flight mode and not on throttle position, I didn't realise when idle up it still looks at throttle stick position, doh.

All in all a great day with some great lads and a few good flights, including putting the quad in a few times :-)

Late to the field today so only 2 flights and the second one resulting in a Dave (ran out of fuel) knackered skid and a link, couldn't get it round in time to use the wind so dropped from around 10ft. Good job the ground is wet :-)

Okay with a few flights before the rain started. The piro loop evades me but I'll get there and the tail is still giving the odd wag now and again. Going to change the tail control rod for a carbon one and see if that helps. Had that odd cogging in a piroflip, only had that with high tail gain so again not sure.

One flight today, not in the mood although a reasonable one. Dropped tail gain again by 1 point but still a little noise now and again, dropped it one more ready for weekend, maybe Wednesday

Tail trim flights in 20+mph :-), gradually dropped tail gain a little on each flight and really pushed the poor tail in this wind. V4 working well, no blow outs and holding well, got a slight imbalance in piro speed left to right and not sure why. Mechanical setup is good but right side piro a little slower.

Hooning around for last flight of the day and yes you guessed it ran out of fuel, bone dry.

It was going so well, 2 flights on the Raptor, returned the Vortex tail settings to out of box and started again. First flight was trim active and you know what it worked, tail stops are good, certainly better than they were, I'm impressed.

Haven't flown for a few weeks but really enjoying the flight and I lose the tail inverted, hit hold and watch it plough into the floor, blades, boom, torque tube, links and skids.

Couldn't see what it was to start with and in the flight log was a comms error. However, the culprit a broken pin in the tail transfer gear, bugger. I think it's vital not to tighten the grub screw too much that holds it or you're adding stress raisers.

First flights with V4 on the Raptor and it wasn't the best. Need to go back to default settings on the tail, blowing out 90 degrees on climbouts. Appears to be gain related
