Crashed my baby today! I broke my first promise to myself when I started flying again. I did not fly high enough! Not too bad it seems but still have to do the tear down and repair work! I know at least one person who will be happy to hear i can still crash, Ron!

A few flights off the deck of my beach house. Beautiful day but had to stop flying when the chili cook off started in my neighborhood. Afternoon filled with chili, friends and tequila shots! So in a way I kept right on flying through the afternoon and into the evening! ;-)

Strange feel to it today. I was only one at the field most of the day. Wind was blowing steady and rain storms threatening from the west. Did get to watch the utility company use a hughes to place two guys on top of high voltage power line tower that is very near the field. It was pretty cool! I don't feel like I advanced any today. Just did some inverted hovering and a few inverted
fly-bys. Plenty of autos and a couple of my best attempts at a hurricane. I did strip the front tail gears on the 450 today. Luckily it was on my last battery. It would seem it is better to land that bird under power rather than hit hold no matter how high you are. Overall I'll give it three stars.

Better evening of flying! I am really getting to like BOTH of my helis I currently have in my fleet. This time around, it's all about the FLYING!!!

Tough day all day. I decided to sneak in a few flights before dark. The tough day just carried over to my flying. No crashes or anything like that just a difficult session.

Nice day at the field. Got a lot of flights in on the N5. Mostly just playing around. Did do some figure 8s and some fast circles, inverted flight and hovering. Lots of nose in and tons of autos! I also leaned the motor out quite a bit. Loads of power now!

I only got one flight on the 450L mostly due to the wind. I was tired of fighting the wind and I was just flat tired. So I decided to pack it up while everything was still in one piece!

I had to venture into Houston this morning. Managed to make it back to town by 5pm and headed to the field. Dominator is really flying well but the tail is definitely NOT rock solid! I need to spend some tuning time on it and I also need to do more reading about the G-Pro system.
Now the N5, well - YEAH BABY!!! that is an awesome flying helicopter! I still haven't totally leaned out the motor and will probably do tuning tomorrow. I'm about ready to install the governor and turn up the head speed! Really enjoying just flying helicopters again. I'm giving today's session four stars only because my son isn't here flying with me. Once I can get him back into it, the world will be spinning in greased grooves again!

Wind was really blowing after a cold front came though this morning! Trying to do fast circles in close. Tough with the wind blowing so hard. Ended up working on nose in for a while and inverted backwards flight. Again the wind made it VERY TOUGH today!

When you only have 3 batteries, You only fly 3 flights! I was about to get a few more flights on the N5 but when I powered it up, it kept re-initializing. After investigation my switch has developed a short in the charge lead. if I wiggle the charge lead it resets the helicopter! I think I will look into a fromeco switch!

Good evening. Stripped tail gears on third flight. May have already been tweaked and therefore contributing to my tail issues. So I am actually excited to change them and get some more flights in!

Tail is still sloppy but I am finally making some progress with it. I believe a loose boom support was partially to blame. Now fiddling with the gain and it's getting better a little at a time.

Came home from beach with plenty of time to get to the field. Once I got there though, a thunderstorm was on the horizon and coming our way. By the time I got one flight in and let the motor and ESC cool, the wind had really picked up and the rain was very close. Packed back up and headed to the house! The 450 did fly much better though. Still tweaking tail gain!

Hovering only. Trouble with GPro. Working on it but need more info on how to properly adjust gains for the GPro.

Went to field to get more room and further test the 450L with GPro. Things got much better with more head speed! How ever Tail is still hunting. Ill continue to work on that issue this weekend if I can. Also apparently I have one more part to change on the Synergy to get her back flying! I'll do that ASAP. I really need to be able to fly something this weekend. Headed down to the Beach tomorrow so hopefully I can get some flying done at CRAP.
