Hover 45 Degree Tail-in

Return to Moves Add to Learning Submit a Video

Before you move to side-on flying, a good inbetween step is the 45 degree tail-in hover. This gets your brain a little twisted towards side-on but with an easy bailout back to tail-in.

Take off to a stationary hover at 3 feet (1 meter) for 5 seconds, rotate the nose of the
model 45 degrees to the left and hover for 5 seconds, then rotate the nose of the
model 45 degrees to the right and back to the original tail-in orientation and hover for
5 seconds. Next rotate the nose of the model 45 degrees to the right and hover for 5
seconds, and finally rotate the nose of the model 45 degrees left and back to the
original tail-in orientation, hover for 5 seconds, and land with skids completely in the
landing area.
